Life. Where do I even begin? Life has been taking an unexpected twist. If five years ago you were to ask me where I would be at this stage of my life, I never would have said here. I will be graduating from Utah State University in December with a degree in broadcast journalism. Yes, I realize I still have one more semester left and many months left to figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life but it will and is coming so quickly.
I have currently been the features editor for The Utah Statesman for the past two years. The year before that I was features senior writer. The Statesman has been my life. It has meant the world to me. I don't want to see it come to an end. It is my baby. Many, many tears and frustrations have been put into those pages. Of all things I have done with my life, that is one of the top and most momentous. As the banquet closed out my final full year at the paper, a lot of emotions ran though my body and mind. That had been my life for so long. Many of the people I have worked with for years are graduating, they are moving on to something bigger and better. I will soon have that option and where will I choose to go?
I guess that is why this blog will be fun and interesting to follow. I have many ideas, many dreams and ambitions that I want to accomplish. This will take you through my adventures and will show the steps until I find out exactly where my life will be and will go.
I have the greatest friends, who you will hear a lot about, and the greatest co-workers. I have a huge support system and I am grateful they follow me every step of the way. Life is going to come hard and its going to come fast. But I am ready and I hope you are too.
